I've never used one of these so I'm wondering if you think this setup will work. My apartment gets cold at night. So I'm getting a CHE and hooking it up to my older on/off thermostat because who cares if it turns off and on multiple times since they don't put out any light so it won't bother Volcano (or me). Any way my apartment on a cold night can drop to 60 or even a little less. So I figure I can set the CHE thermostat for 70. That way it get cooler for him at night but doesn't hit lower than that. Last night temps here were in the 50s overnight and the temp in his tank hit 61. Anyone see any major flaws with this setup or my sometimes insane logic?

That should work. I have a similar setup using a heat projector (I like these because they don't get nearly as hot to the touch as a CHE). It is on a pulse thermostat and set to keep the temps (at the probe) between 68-73 overnight.

Never seen a heat projector. I must investigate this. Does these use the same type of lamps or no.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
