Just asking for the best heating options for a bigger enclosure. Would a 100 watt zoo med bulb suffice? I know people also use bulbs not specifically meant for reptiles but I don’t know what exactly to look for. I’d love to hear some suggestions.

Hello,

The wattage of the basking bulb will depend on how far away your basking spot will be.
Normally, on average a 100 watt halogen flood or spot bulb will work just fine. A good
distance is usually 10 or so inches away, 12 possibly. Do you have a temp gun or a
digital probe to properly measure temperatures with?
You can post a few pictures also just so we can help be sure it's all setup well for you
dragon!

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
