i have asthma and allergies and i have a humidifier for my room. would it be okay to have it in the same room as his enclosure?

So long as the in tank relative humidity is kept manageable ( under 80% most the time , no hard and fast rules here ) , should be fine.

80% humidity is way to high 30-40 percent, humidity spikes aren't bad even some comfortably live at 55 but 80%? No., you can hang one of those EvaDry dehumidifiers inside the tank which when full you take it out and plug it into a wall to release the humidity it sucked up so it will be a humidifier for you. You can also use a sock with rice in it to lower humidity remember 30-40%
