Figment's Habitat

I finally got a decent sized hide for Figment's hab... it won't do for when he's fully grown, I don't think, but it will last him a while as he gets bigger. He got SO excited when I put it in his tank - running up to it, climbing straight to the top, running down it, turning around and climbing it again! He shows no interest in going inside - doesn't care to go inside his smaller warm side hide either - but at least now I know I have them there if he's ever inclined to use them. Maybe one of these days I'll play around with making his hab look fancy like some of the other enclosures I've seen, but for now I'm sticking with easy to clean and simple. Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home!

Semi-arboreal, remember? :)
To him, it's another rock/tree to climb up on to check stuff out.

Yup! I'm just pleased that his habitat has been enriched, and that he seemed to like it. :)

It looks good! You don't always want to over clutter things! In a way I tend to go over simplistic with my tanks, but I definitely see the value in certain items in the tank for enrichment purposes. It's something I'm working on still with my tanks right now.

I think it looks nice I would however would add more light on the dark end during the day -- a regular house hold bulb like a 60 watt is what I use brightens the tank up and doesnt make it look so dark

That’s a good idea! I’ll pick up another dome ASAP. Maybe that will warm up that end a few degrees, too!

Thank you! I’m not sure what “too simplistic” looks like, but from what I’ve read on your Claud’s Crew posts, your babies are thriving... I think what the hab looks like is mainly for our aesthetics, and if you’re happy with the look, it’s not too simplistic- it’s super easy to take care of! :)

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
