Hi Karrie is this a premix or will you be mixing them yourself? Ours is a premix with pretty similar or in fact slightly higher percentage of sand (has volcanic sand besides silica and fine sand). So I am sure yours will be a-ok! 
We've had our beardies for about 5 months now and they have had no issues with their substrate. We leave superworms to roam free and burrow and our beardies love digging them up and "hunting" them as treats. They also like being able to bury their poop in a designated potty corner of their viv.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
