Bearded dragon getting under replicarpet?

Hello!

For the past few days I’ve found my beardie somehow gets under his repticarpet. He usually looks like he’s trying to sleep, and I’m not sure how to prevent it.

It may be because he climbs up on the glass when I’m gone maybe? He has adenovirus so he may be accidentally pushing himself under, then get stuck. I also thought this could be due to the increase of temperatures going into summer. It’s getting to around 100 degrees F in his hot side, which I plan on decreasing alittle with a mount to raise his lights.

Any ideas how I could keep him on top of the repticarpet?
Thanks!

Do you have a hide in his tank? You can replace the carpet w / textured non adhesive shelf liner from Home Depot Lowes -- its cheap and easy to clean and the insects can get under it --- clean w/ vinegar / water 50/50 in a spray bottle- you can then put a piece of fleece in his hide or some sort of soft cloth piece of clothing etc

He may want to burrow to sleep. That's a fairly common behavior. Sometimes a hide helps. Sometimes adding some small fleece blankets or scrap fleece strips helps in order to give them something to burrow in to sleep.

I’ve heard of this! Is there a specific texture that is used or is it just anything with texture?

Thanks!

Nothing specific I have heard used -- you will haft to go look - just some sort of texture so he doesnt slip - give him traction - I have never looked at the shelf liner as I have ceramic tile in my tank - and its a slate texture to keep his nails trimmed down--

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
