Dome lighting and temp measurements

Hey there-

So I'm doing a little shopping later today for Ragnar and am looking for some recommendations on a good time fixture. Mine is a runny dink beat up thing and needs replacing. What type do you all use?

Also I'm grabbing a Infrared laser thermometer too. How do I go about measuring? Point and shoot I'm assuming, but where? Right under the light? On his basking spot? I just want to be sure I'm doing this right. Thanks!

What kind of domes? Like for basking ? CHE?

Well I got mine from petco-- the regular black domes-- they were spendy-- I don't know if you can get them cheaper on line I have not looked-- the last one I bought was a big one and I think it was $20 from Petco-- shop on line and see if maybe you can find them cheaper-- figure shipping too if there is any

I use this for my beardie and blue tongue skink. Love the dimmer. Makes it much easier to get the basking temp. just right.
