Scratching at substrate?

For the past couple of weeks, my beardie has been scratching at her substrate inside her hide. As you can see from the pictures below, she scratches A LOT. This is only after like 2 days. I have to replace the paper towels inside her hide every couple of days. Why is she doing this? Is there anything I can do to stop it?

You could get a roll of non adhesive shelf liner to line her tank, it’s so easy to clean, bugs won’t hide under it & cheap. She might like some fleece blanket scraps to dig & hide under. Mine loves his little blankets.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
