Size tank for a baby/ juvenile

Hey! I’m new here and am looking for some beardie advice. I have owned reptiles for a while now but am looking into getting my first Beardie. I’m looking on getting a junvilie bearded dragon and am aware the they need a 20gallon to start before being moved to the larger permanent tank. I was wondering if it would be ok if I simply blocked off part of the larger tank with plexiglass or something like that they have the same room as a 20gallon and I can expand the size as it gets older. Would that work? Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated!

Actually, the permanent tank would be perfect for a baby, people only do 20 gallon longs if thats all they have on hand or can afford at the time. Or at least thats how I see it.

You don't need to block or divide anything off, as long as there isn't tons and tons of open space a baby will do fine in a 4x2x2 or 75 gallon (which is the minimum size for an adult).

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
