It would probably work, but you may want to go with a LED bulb just in case (these definitely don't produce any heat, even at 75 watts).

I was planning on using an LED at first but someone mentioned it might make things look distorted for the bearded dragon.

The compact bulb shouldn't produce much heat especially if it's energy efficient. It's a 2700k bulb so it will have a warm/amber color to it vs a daylight bulb that is around 6500k and will look more like outdoor light. Some LEDs could make things look distorted but I think it depends on the type used. It probably isn't as big of a deal when used along with a UVB tube and a basking light because it will blend in more. It might be best to get a wide spectrum or daylight LED if you use one. Arcadia makes some for plants called Jungle Dawn.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
