I'm taking a 7ft long, 2 feet deep, & 4 feet tall display case that I inherited and turning it into a habitat for my Beardie. I'm having issues finding the correct lighting for this size tank. Your recommendations would be great!
I've also been looking at the Zoomed PowerSun UV 100W, what are your thoughts on this bulb, is it a do or a don't? If it is a don't then what would you suggest for heat and a UVB?
Thank you! :D

Preferably with such a large enclosure you want a tube light. MVB's can be good to use however heating is horrible and to get it to correct temperatures most the time you may end up exposing the beardie to too much uvb.
I'm not entirely sure on the powersun, its much better than a solarglo but I'd say the megaray may be one of the best out there currently for MVB's, other than arcadias MVB which are also very good.
However remember with such a large enclosure that basking spot would be the only place to get uvb from so it may cause problems.

Depending on how your going to have basking ledges installed a 46" Arcadia D3+ 14% T5 HO UVB tube may be good, its a very strong bulb and would produce a lot of uvb. In that enclosure make sure to have it over the main basking spot or near it. This would leave about 2-3 feet of space without uvb that the bearded dragon could escape from if needed.

I would make sure the basking spot is at least 15 inches away from the bulb.

As for wattage of heat it all depends on how the basking spots are setup and everything.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
