T8 in T5?

No -- I don't think it will even fit. They are different sizes and the fixtures are specifically designed for each type of tube.

That's correct. The T8 and T5 refer to the size of the bulb so they each require the corresponding fixture size. T5 is newer, thinner, and more powerful than T8 (which is newer than T12 which you don't see much of anymore).

The 5.0 vs 10.0 (and 6% vs 12%) refer to the output of the bulbs themselves. In most cases you want the higher output 10.0 (or 12%) for a desert critter like a dragon. The 5.0/6% bulbs are for shade/tropical animals.

Also, depending on your setup, the T5 (10.0) tube would be better for your beardie anyway. They put out more UV to a greater distance and last longer than the T8s. If you've already got a T5 fixture, you're better off getting the T5 tube(s) to go with it.
