So I just got my juvenile bearded dragon Caesar a 40 gallon tank and he started acting sluggish and I read up that that’s due to the temps of the tank so what light bulbs voltages or whatever should I be using now that he’s in a 40 gallon tank

For basking, just be sure to use a bright white light that puts out heat. The wattage and distance really depend on the temperature readings so it's important to have accurate surface temperature measurements. Shoot for a gradient of 100-105 in the basking area down to about 75-80 or so on the cool side. Maybe start with a 70w PAR38 halogen flood light and go from there based on temperature readings.

In a 40g tank I recommend using a 22'' T5 UVB light which should sit about 12'' above the basking area (closer to 10'' if it's shining through a screen top). http://www.lightyourreptiles.com/22-t-5-ho-fixture-high-output-with-arcadia-d3-12-ho-bulb/

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
