Lighting/UVB help

Hey guys, so i've been having trouble with my beardie having MBD. I feed him calcium, multivitamin,super-worms,mealworms,crickets, and collard greens 4 times a week. He has a heat lamp, a UVB lamp, and a 22" 5.0 t5 ho uvb lamp which is 16" from the bottom.

He has signs of MBD, his muscles twitch, and they seem to be getting weaker. Also when i touched him today gently to get him to move he flipped his **** and his back leg locked up for a minute. He's still very active and he eats plenty. I get him out into the sun about 3 times a week for 20 minutes. We live in Oklahoma so it tends to be pretty intense.

Do you guya have any suggestions on maybe how the tank is set up to help him?

P.s. he does have a waterbowl, it was being cleaned. And his temp/humidity gauge busted recently and i know i need to get a new one.

I would replace your 5.0 bulb with a 10.0 bulb. http://www.reptilebasics.com/arcadia-desert-12-uvb/arcadia-d3-12-uvb-t5-bulb-22/ And I'd move it so it's sitting directly above that basking rock about 10-12'' up if it's shining through the mesh top. That should provide much better UVB exposure and make a big difference.

Keep up with the calcium rich veges especially collard and turnip greens. Those are great options for salads. Brining him outside for natural sunlight is also an excellent idea. Take advantage of the summer weather while you can =).

As for thermometer, I'd just pick up a couple of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0017N8W90/ and put a probe on the basking surface and one over on the cool side. That will give you a good idea about the temperature gradient you have going.
