I am wondering how everyone cleans their tank? I took everything out of mine already (my big guy is ANGRY at that) and soaked them for quite awhile in water and ammonia. All that is left is the tank. But I don't really want to use any cleaners because of the smell. If I get a steam cleaner, will I have to worry about cracking the tank? I want to make sure I kill this crap (coccidia and giardia) so they can be healthy boys.

I use a steam cleaner and it works really well on the tank and on the furniture. I'd keep the setup minimal and maybe use paper towel substrate until you get the all clear from the vet. You may also want to pick up some Vetericyn to spray his bum after he poops which will help keep him cleaner as well.
