I need to relocate my beardie for approximately a 24 hour period as my apartment is being fumigated. His enclosure is rather cumbersome and I would like to avoid moving it, but I don't want to spend a lot on something he'll only be in for a day. What is the smallest size tank that would be acceptable to put him in short term? Like I said it will be for approximately 24 hours. Thanks.

24hrs isn't too big of a problem. You could use a large rubbermaid bin and a clamp lamp for heat for that short of a time. That setup works well for travel too. If the weather allows it, you can provide some outside time for UVB. If not, you can go without UVB for that short of a time without a problem.
