Everything that I did is fixed mount, all wiring attachments are clamped per code. I have wall plugs for the two electrical circuits mounted in a junction box that feeds the circuits. The strain relief for the the outlet cords is mounted on the feed junction box.
One circuit is on a timer, the other is on a thermostat.

What do you mean by screw the green wire into the fixture? Do you make a hole in it or something?

following US electrical standards, green is your ground wire. Permanent install metal fixtures will have a bonding screw so that you can connect your ground wire. If you were using 12-2 Romex type house wiring, then the plain unsheathed copper wire would be the same as the green wire, of course black is hot and white is neutral.

I'm a newby to beardies, actually don't even have one yet. Still researching on everything I need to do for the set up before I bring it home. Does the terrarium not need to be fully covered? I see your awesome build, and the basking lamp, but it looks like the top is wide open.

Could you please clarify for me? Thank you
Hello it is a 40 gallon breeder tank. And nope I have never put any lids on my vivs. :D

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
