I'm planning to buy a second enclosure to keep at my parent's house so that when I travel to visit them I can bring my beardie, Tofu, along for the vacation. I started to consider buying a used enclosure and set up I found on Craig's List, but stopped when I wondered if that's really a safe thing to do. Because it's used, I have no idea how sanitary it was kept or if the reptiles kept in it were diseased or not.
Is there a safe way to completely sanitize used equipment, or should I just go ahead and buy a new enclosure and lighting equipment?
