Hello,
He seems to be pancaking under the basking spot. It is perfectly normal for beardies to do that. They do that to get more heat and uvb rays.

You're welcome. This is a picture of my Cisco pancaking while basking. Sorry if it's a little bright looking, I Put some coconut oil on her and her skin was shiny so the light reflected off of her. View media item 61045
