Reptile rescue from a pet store!?

I got my bearded dragon Snoopy from a store! He ran up to the glass and was super cute so I had to get him. It was my first time buying a bearded dragon but straight away I could see he was very thin and he was put in a separate vivarium to the other bearded dragons and when I said I wanted that one they were surprised! so I took him home and had a look at him...

As you can see he is sooo thin and had mites. They obviously didnt bother doing anything and he didn't even have food in his viv. The staff were also unable to give me a hatch date or any information. They also gave me awful diet information which I could tell was wrong as I had already read two books about beardies before making my purchase.

I got his weight up now and he is doing much better although I definetly struggled as a first time owner and it was hard to get him/her to eat. I also took him/her to the vet for a shot and some medicene.
Here is snoopy now...

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
