My rescue beardie Paradox arrived here Thursday am via ups. I opened the box, then the bag and thought something looked "off" about him, he had a growth on his head/neck area. Upon closer inspection it was a poo! So, my little man is very talented to boot! I used the bag to wipe as much as I could off, but he still had a white spot on his neck.
He already has me trained. He's currently in a rubber maid tub for quarantine, it's clearish, and after I put him in his bin thursday I put my shipment of 250 supers in their critter keeper, which I put next to Paradox's tub. About two hours later I hear this "knocking"..thought it was my dog wanting to go out, but he was asleep on my bed. I look at Paradox who has his face stuffed against the tubs corner staring at the supers, then cocking his head to stare at me..Back and forth. I finally gave him about 6, which he gobbled up.
Yesterday he had a super filled poop, so I gave him crickets. He ate the crickets but not with as much gusto as the supers. Today he had a much better poop. I made him his salad and he ate about a third of it, then had a few horn worms, and about 5 supers. Hopefully his poop will be better. His temps are fine, and he had plenty of time to bask and digest before lights out. He also got his very first soak tonight (with me), and took a nice long drink.
Can't wait to get his big boy cage next month! He'll be 5 months old on monday.

. Just to let you know supers should only be fed to beardies 16 inches. Babies have a hard time digesting them.
