Does anyone do this? Go into a pet store and rescue babies or is that just encouraging the store to do this again.
The petland on Ninth Avenue Hells Kitchen New York City that first put a dragon in my hands has a very tiny baby who is in terrible straights. crushed walnut substrate, crickets jumping around the tank. He is 2 weeks old at best and very tiny. When I saw this he was clinging to the edge of a water dish trying to stay out of the water and off the walnut. I offered to buy a repticarpet for him and at least convinced one of the kids to give him a nice wide/high perch saying that he also needed to be closer to the lights.
They didn't change out the walnut. He is so small. I can't take him. I have my first beardie who is just a little more than two months now, and a one bedroom apartment that won't accomodate me, two kids, two cats, fish, frogs and two bearded dragons.
The kid who helped me would have changed out the substrate but his coworkers wouldnt' let him. Leaving that dragon in the store was really hard.
