What is this spring fever? It might explain why Toa has been such a butt lately. lol. :lol:

He usually moody in the morning so I just feed him and leave him alone for a few hours, but lately he is actually getting all puffy and darkening his beard, not full black but more color than usual. He even puffed and jumped sideways a bit when I went to get him for his bath yesterday afternoon. Plus he is almost 6 months, so I'm wondering if it could be the rebellious teenager stage I've seen people talk about.

Oh the life of a dragon owner/ slave! :mrgreen:

Spring Fever is shortly after brumation, when a huge hormonal spike sends them temporarily loony.

At six months, yeah, your dragon's probably just acting out.

Jac gave me another vicious lick again today and tried to face me down.
He didn't win!

Bless him, I believe Jacques actually about two years old, possibly more.
He's never had spring before due to his poor nutrition and inadequate heating.

I deliberately get on the wrong side of him on a daily basis - it's good practise for him. He makes me laugh by getting cross at my feet or trouser legs - the worst I ever get now is a vicious peck-lick.

:lol: :lol: Mine used to head bang at me and try to bite all the time when I first brought him home and one day I just gently patted his head and it's like his brain turned or something. Now he's the nicest dragon i've ever seen.
