Hello everyone. I caught this little guy today in Mt. Laurel New Jersey. He's just a baby because I seen multiple other bigger ones. Anyone know what kind of lizard it is? Looks a lot like a skink but the colors don't look like anything I've seen. Also never seen these little guys running around peoples yards around where I live, maybe 30-45 minutes away. Thanks

Can you post a photo of him?

I did include pictures.... They show up for me.... are they not showing for anyone else?

~~EDIT~~ changed to a different image hosting site to see if that fixes it

I see them now. Definitely looks like a skink but I'm not sure which type. I'd guess a ground skink or five lined skink based on where you found him.

Huh, I think you might be right. Looks like a pretty close match and they are known to exist around there. Pretty cool looking little guy!

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
