I have 3 Savannah's. If you're looking for a bearded dragon type lizard don't get one. Lol They are not the easiest to care for and it does get exp. They'll need 8x4x4 enclosures. They need to be left alone and not constantly picked up. Food cost can get up there if you vary their diet. I'm not sure exactly what the Savannah's food cost is but I have 3 Savannah's,2 beardies,uro,turtle,3 dogs,2 cats,python and some fish. My avg food costs a month are around 3-400. They take time and patience and could never tame. Mine tolerate me more and associate me with food. Best thing to do is let them be and do regular cage cleanings etc..after a while they will get curious and check you out. Still leave them alone. I personally started putting my arm in the cage letting them walk up my hand and arm to feed using tongs.
