previosly,I had a baby snapping turtle.and i loved him a ton.i had him happiley for3 years. :) then one morning i looked in his tank and there was a dead headless torn apart baby bird.and snappy was EATING it! so i had to relise him . :( :cry: :cry: but thru a deal with mom i got a red eared slider lost him and this morning gess who was at the back door? yep clyde home safe and sound :) :)

I wouldn't have gotten rid of the snapper. Usually it's frowned upon for various reasons, but mine are simple.


Your snapper was a bad***. He knew how to hunt, and wanted a snack. Give him a pat on the head for his accomplishment, and try to remove the corpse without making him too angry.

I REALLYwanted to keep him but fighting mom is like trying to knok down a brik wall with a stik :(

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.
