The bearded dragon is a cute but exotic pet! Many people are confused on what to feed their bd...
And make sure you don't feed anything that's larger than your dragon's eyes :shock:
And it is very important to feed alive/ fresh food which will give your dragon good nutrition and many other vitamins! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
Here is a list on what to feed your bd:
Bugs:
- BSFL (Black Soldier FLy Larvae)
- Crickets
They may jump and go a little crazy and may carry parasites
- Juvia, discoid, red runners , and orange head roaches
- Locusts
They can jump very far so be careful :x
- Silk worms
They are a very healthy staple
- Wax worms
They contain fat which is good for underweight beardies
- Butter worms
They also contain fat
- Superworms
Very popular treat DO NOT FEED IN HIGH QUANTITIES
- Earthworms
Very uneasy to catch and good source of protein
- Hornworms
Very popular treat that is very high in fat and moisture
Greens are:
- Bok choy
- Collard greens
- Mustard greens
- Arugula
- Dandelion greens
- Radicchio
It's red :lol:
- Escarole
- Turnip greens
- Endive
- Parsley
- Swiss chard
Squashes such as:
- Acorn yellow
- Butternut
- Chayote
- Spaghetti
Peel off skin and cut to small pieces/ slice
Veggies such as:
- Okra
- Green beans
- Snap peas
Regular or sugar
- Cucumber (Occasionally)
- Bell pepper
- Pumpkin
Diuretic and will cause the bd to poop
Fruits such as:
- Blueberries
- Strawberries
- Blackberries
- Cranberries
- Apricot
- Watermelon
- Pear
- Guava
- Banana
- Mangos
- Peaches
- Grapes
- Apple
- Prickly pears
Will cause your bd to poop red poo :-?
