Favorite and Least Favorite Greens

I have discovered after many trials that Boga simply hates mustard greens. She will not eat them here or there, she will not eat them anywhere. She will not eat them with bribe foods, she will not eat them with cool dudes. /end Dr. Seuss jokes. I've offered them alone, with other greens, and mixed with her favorite foods. Once she tastes a mustard green, she won't touch the salad at all.

So I'm curious, what are your dragon's favorite greens? They don't need to be staples, they could be occasional greens that maybe you use as treats or to convince them to try something new. What, if any, do they absolutely refuse?

All of my dragons love collard greens! I haven't really found a green that puts then off their salads yet.
Bok choy was another one they always loved but my store now is a rip off for them.

Mine both eat greens (finally!) but I don't know that they're terribly excited about any particular kind. I am lucky to live in an area where there's a large variety, so I mix it up between collards, mustard greens, dandelion, and kale for staples and then toss in stuff like mint, cilantro, and squash to keep them from getting bored.

I have found that they will both go to the grape vine growing up the side of our pergola and munch those leaves. I don't know if that's a particularly good thing since the feeding guide on Beautiful Dragons has them listed as "Occasional", but they seem to like it :)

Well my little one loves mustard greens..here, there, and everywhere. Haha

But she also eats collard greens, turnip greens, dandelion greens, escarole/endive, arugula, and watercress. Occasionally I feed her carrot greens, radish greens, and cilantro. It's like she has a specific taste for the super tart and peppery ones, which I love, so it doubles as a salad for me too! Haha She does not eat vegetables at all. I've offered SOOOOO many, at she turns her nose at them and god forbid if they're mixed with her salad because she won't touch anything at all! Picky little eater, she is. But I digressed. LOL

Hope this helps!!!

That's interesting about the vegetables and touching. I took the mustard greens out of the salad and just gave her the rest of it until I got some different greens. She wouldn't touch that salad because it had touched the mustard greens. I guess they tainted the rest of it.

Luckily the roaches loved the salad so I didn't waste the greens.

I think Boga prefers bland food, every spicy/peppery thing I've offered has been met with rejection. Those she picked out of her salad and ate the rest.

Norbert likes ruffly and exciting-looking greens, so she'll eat the fluffy edges of mustard greens but not the flat parts. It's hard to get her to eat most flat greens. If I sneak some dandelion green into her mouth while she is chewing something else, she will spit it out and shake her head violently, which is unfortunate because I know they are very good for her. She gets very excited about endives, though, and will run over to you if you are holding endive. Beardies are so idiosyncratic about food; it's such a journey trying to build a healthy diet for them that they're also willing to eat.

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
