Hi! I rescued a 3-4 week old baby, Ozymandias, two days ago. He will not hand feed, and will back away from the tongs. I got him to eat small crickets exactly three times, but that was hunting and it was later in the day when he was very hungry. I put more crickets near him, he won't even eat, he will look though. He pooped this morning and it was quite a healthy size. He is in a 40 gallon tank with a heat lamp and uvb bulb. His basking spot is about 100 to 105F, while his cool side is about 75 to 80.

It's very common for new dragons to not eat for a couple days to even a week. They go through relocation stress and it greatly affects their appetites. Eventually they will start eating more and more until they settle into their new environment.

As long as your husbandry is up to par, he just needs time :)

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
