I’ve decided to switch from crickets to BSFL but now I’m unsure of how many to buy (I have to buy bulk online) because I don’t know how many she would approx eat a day. Right now she eats 20-25 1” crickets a day (I offer more but she doesn’t want them) without her salad (she gets picky and doesn’t eat it some days). She is 6.5 months, 17.5” and 302g so she’s not tiny ? I’m not worried about price or anything, my landlord just about had a heart attack when he came across a loose cricket in our apartment so I have to switch ?
P.S. I know she likes them I’ve given them to her before to see but couldn’t find them for a long while.

She would need to eat alot of them as they are tiny---- you can use dubia roaches for a staple- they can be kept in a 10 gallon aquarium and they dont escape--- they dont chirp and they dont stink--- easier to keep than crickets --- feed them carrots squash apples strawberries --- you can hide them from the land lord they are quiet--- they also last longer than crickets---

12x MED gutloaded crickets (2/3 size) = 3g ==> 0.25g each
I just weighed some large white BSFL , 10 worms = 0.9g ==> 0.09g each worm.

So each cricket is equivalent in mass to 25/9 = 2.7 round up to 3 BSFL .

So if your dragon eats 25 crickets per day and they are medium sized crickets (2/3 size) and not adult crickets , you can likely expect if the dragon accepts BSFL , that it will eat 75 large white BSFL per day.

Other very nutritious feeders that are great value for money are silkworms :
A 30mm long silkworm is 0.5g = 2-3 medium crickets
A 40mm long silkworm is 1.3g = 5-6 medium crickets
a 2 inch long silkworm is 1.8g
a large silkworm about 3in is 2.3g = 8 - 10 medium crickets

My 4 month old hatchling Caesar is a big boy and already able to hoover down large sized silkworms and he loves them.

My 3-4 month old girl Cleopatra loves her BSLF and polished off 16 in each of two sittings today .

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
