I live next to a horse barn so sometimes flies will get in through the door and make their way to my room. I've always been careful to kill them as soon as I see them but while I was holding Lyrica a fly got into her terrarium. I chased it out and put Lyrica back in but just as I was closing the door the fly zipped back inside. I tried to get it out again but Lyrica was too quick and snatched it up.

I'm very concerned that she may get sick. I'm especially worried about parasites. Has this happened to anybody else? How often does a beardie get sick from eating a random fly?

Hi there, it's true that outdoor insects can carry parasites but so can feeder insects from a large company. No need to worry at all. :) Over the years my beardies have eaten anything from an earthworm, fly, yellow jacket to name a few.

Thank you. I'll still be keeping an eye on her but the reassurance will reduce the chances of me going bald from pulling at my hair out of worry.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
