Alfalfa

I have been growing some mustard greens and alfafa seeds for my dragon. I am going off the beautifuldragons website information and I'm a little bit confused because it says for alfafa that she can have the plant every day but the sprouts only occasionally. I know I'm being a bit thick here but what's the difference? Is the plant just the green leafy bit at the end? Or do I need to wait for the alfafa to mature and grow fully before it can become her staple?

Any advice appreciated.

My assumption is that by sprouts they mean newly germinated seeds consumed whole (seed casing and root and all), and by alfalfa they mean leaves/stalks without any difference between old and new growth. Boxes of sprouts used to be common in grocery stores until there were several recalls a few years ago so that's what I pictured when I read the list.

(edit) I also have a rabbit and I found a rabbit website that states that "from 1 to 6 days after sprouting, sprouts have higher levels of alkaloids," so perhaps this is the reason.

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
