How Often Do You Feed a Baby Bearded Dragon - Help Needed

Hello, I'm planning on getting a baby bearded dragon. I've researched a general idea of how often you should feed your Bearded Dragon. My feeding schedule would be everyday and I would include vegetation in the morning with about 10-15 crickets. Around 6:00 P.M. I would be home and feed another 10-15 crickets. Does this schedule sound good? Please give me feedback and tell me if I should include worms. Thank you.

Hi there, that's pretty reasonable, and a good feeder worm is Phoenix or calci worms, also silkworms. If you can't get those, crickets are fine along with finely shredder veggies. Greens like turnip, mustard, collard, dandelion, arugula and some squash + green beans finely chopped are all good. Some babies won't eat too much of the veggies but it's good to have them available.

Thanks for the feedback, I was reading a little bit more and I found that bearded dragons should be eating 50 crickets a day or 10 dubia roaches. Is that only for adults?

Along with the worms and or plenty of veggies, 25-35 crickets a day would be plenty. Some dragons eat more than 50 a day but it's not necessary. They can grow up just fine without being stuffed at every meal.....that's like power feeding . A baby or juvenile beardie should eat plenty of good food every day but this can range from 25-50 bugs a day, but they don't always need such a high number as if trying to make them grow as fast as they can. I raised a lot of healthy babies, none ever had MBD or gout which is becoming more + more common in beardies today. Here are some that I raised .

This last one was over 18" before he was 5 months old. He was getting too chubby though, he was the fastest growing dragon I ever raised.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
