Beardie ball!!!

Marie-boo has her own harness that my husband and I take her in our yard and on our deck with for some natural sun. We were in petsmart today stocking up on various insects (super worms, horn worms, roaches, crickets... normal grocery list). I found this thing called a beardie ball. I've given her balls to play with before, but she just normally ignores them. This one you can put food in. I figured why not...

I got her out on our deck, popped in a super worm... and she actually played with the darn thing... and was proud of herself for 'winning'! I'm just a tad disappointed it's not more challenging, but she likes it... when food is in it, of course. Has anyone else used these? What's your experience with them?

Yup, I am, but it's almost right next door. So close we walk to it, and all of them know us by name. I would not say no to cheaper options, though. Horn worms at the petsmart are ridiculous.

Yes horn worms at pet smart here are $10 for 4 -- I can get medium usually they ship small from here www.dubiaroaches.com a cup of 12 are $5 I am thinking plus roaches are cheaper here as well I shop multiple websites tho--
https://flukerfarms.com/crickets-live-feeder-insects/ they have great supers they are large tho so your baby may not be able to eat them yet -- they come in a tube so you will need a container that has holes in the lid and you would need bran to feed them -- carrots for hydration
https://reptilianarts.com/ they have nice silk worms -- if ordering by cup they come w/ food if ordering by bulk they come small and NO food
http://www.mulberryfarms.com/ they have nice butter worms -- they are spendy tho -- spendy on one container of horn worms -- two containers are too much they grow too fast for me to feed
www.symtonbsf.com nice BSFL order large and do not dust them they are a great staple feeder for babies -- I used them as salad toppers to get him to the salad bowl

I just ordered this ball- I jumped on this site of course to see if anyone else has used it. I have tried cat balls but Rocky is disinterested so I am going this route. I will let you know how it goes.

The ball came. I am excited first glance but am waiting to use it until we travel this weekend.

Where did you order from? I haven't been able to find one in stores.

I haven't forgotten...I picked up the worms but Rocky wasn't hungry. Rocky is exited as she is on her first vacation - she has never turned down a superworm.
I will post when I obtain success.

It was a hit. Rocky was able to grab the worm in 2.2 seconds, I didn't even get a chance to cut the video on but I was able to snap a picture in between!
I recommend this toy.

That poor superworm in the ball reminds me of Jurassic Park when the humans were in a ball lol.
She is honed in on it though, i HAVE go get one!

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
