We have a beardy that is quite unique and believes he can fly. However we noticed yesterday he is really leaning to one side but when we touch him he appears to be walking fine. It’s when he is in a rested position he’s hanging more off the perch or slouching
He has grown and is getting big for his favorite perching could that have something to do w it? Or is he just being extra as he typically is when he try’s to fly from one perch to the other

When they are babies they think they are superman - make sure your substrate is not real hard and if it is put something in there for him to land on if he misses or lower the decor --- post a pic of the spot hes leaning on or over --- make sure your lighting is up to par -- NO coils for a UVB -- basking temps are 105-110 taken w/ a digital probe thermometer ---- if you need help or recommendations for lighting please ask --- long tube fixtures need certain distances and placement if you have one

He has the recommended uvb it’s only 5 but he has a small tank... gets calcium and crickets are hit loaded... I am wondering if he is having issues seeing out of his left eye and is over using the right so it is cocked more than usual to try and see the other side... his temps are 95-100...all day 8-8. Red light at night stays at 80-85.

Ok first thing please get rid of the red light at nite -- they can cause eye damage and it throws their vision off -- they have better eye sight than we do ----- you want a heat emitter if the tank is dropping below 65 at nite --- dragons like dark and cool temps 65-75 you can use the stick on for that --- basking temps need to be 105-110 for a baby juvies/ adults 95-100 take w/ a digital probe thermometer that is a MUST------------- what is only 5? I do not understand that ---- small tank ? what size ? Your going to need a long tube fixture for a bigger tank and this (UVB) needs to be NOW -- please tell me what your using brand and bulb please -- I cannot stress this enough it is crucial -----------

Hey thanks for the remarks
We actually have had great advice from these posts and the doctors and Admins for a previous baby. Repti sun is the uvb
Big tank has an adult and we are working on a lever tank as this little is growing fast.
We are doing everything they shared so I’m not sure why you are saying no red light. We have the best admiter too.

The long light for the tank may be a good investment for the next tank.

The big one never had issues with the set up. My sister has had them for years.

This guy has no issues when he walks or eats... just when he is laying. He always has loved laying weird in trees.

We did move the uvb over where he perches so he has that all day.

Your dragon is having issues already w/ the red bulb--- they are harmful to the eyes and can cause blindness and other eye issues --- please take it out----

Ok you are going to need to upgrade that tank like NOW-- dragons need a 75-120 gallon tank- temps are also so hard to keep as well-- you can look for tanks on FB marketplace or Craigslist- look for one w/ front doors-- if you find one make sure you disinfect it w/ Zoo Med wipeout or some rescue- I am glad you are getting rid of the bulb--- your dragons will now be able to get some restful sleep- colored bulbs disrupt their sleep-

Nope they will never be together
We are well aware the adult will attack the little
I like the idea of open at the front and we will get the long light as well. We are already looking for the aquarium like the other one we have so he has more room.

Hello,

Once you have changed up your lighting, be sure to post some pictures for us so we can
see your setup.
As Karrie suggested, nice white bright light is the absolute best & really optimizes their
health & behavior.
Are your basking temperatures maximized for him, too?

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
