Hi everyone,
Sorry this question gets asked a million times I know it can get old, well today I took my beardie to a new exotic reptile specialist. He was awesome and answered all my questions then told me my beardie is quite possibly a female with larger femoral pores. I’ve always been told my beardie is a male so this came as a shock. I did the flashlight test tonight and was looking at pictures online trying to match what I’m seeing but he looks like a bit of both. I see a box like a female but also what could be hemipenes. I’m having a lot of trouble being able to tell. Could someone maybe tell me what they see? Hopefully the pictures are clear enough. Thank you in advance.

Can you do the same picture but without the flashlight? So we just see the shadowing on the base of the tail?

Yeah of course, here’s a few of him with flash and without. (The glare is a bit bad on the one without flash) I also took one off the table incase that helps. Thank you.

I feel like I almost see the two bludges in this photo that would indicate male. I could be mistaken though. I circled what I’m talking about.

To really see, you need to take a picture while you are arching the tail up like a scorpions tail. Don't have the dragon just completely flat. Body flat to the floor or whatever surface he's on, and tail arched up.

Then take a picture at the angle you've been doing it and we should be able to see clearer. If you do that with the flashlight trick too it will be easier.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
