I have 2 lizards, and one of them is a bit special. Long story short he was a dummy and stepped out in front of the bigger lizard and now he's paralysed and can't properly move his two back legs. A few weeks ago, he did a massive poop and stepped in it. Two of his back toes got stuck together, but i didn't think anything of it. It wasn't until this morning did it become a problem. I think he noticed or maybe it got itchy or something, but he started chewing on the two toes stuck together. I managed to pull him from his toes and i'm not sure if i did it right, but i disinfected the wound with some dettol. His toes are still stuck together and he almost chewed his toes off, but he didn't get to the bone.

I've tried pulling the toes apart, but they're really stuck, like really really stuck. Please help. I don't know what to do and whether or not i should take him to the vet for his toe that he nommed. Please help! what should I do?

If it's just stuck in it's own poop, maybe try putting some water on it to soften it up, then try to pry them apart, if it's super dry maybe get something like a butter knife so it won't cut them easily but help it's toes get unstuck. As for the cut, just try to keep it clean, you can put neosporin on it to help it as well.

I have separated the two of them, the paralysis incident happened ages ago, so they're fine. It was a one off sibling quarrel hopefully. His toes are pretty mangled, but we've cleaned the wound and dressedit with some antiseptics. Thanks for all of the advice and help! though his toes are yet to become unstuck...

He is in the middle of shedding and hasn't shed his toes yet so we're hoping that may help unstick them a little. My boy is a dummy and doesn't like anyone, not even me, but i love him very much and hopefully he won't be dumb and nomm on himself again.

Well, good news is i got his toes apart. Bad news is that he completely chewed off half of his two toes before i could unstick them. The halves are still there but they're all broken and limp like noodles, you can see the bone it's pretty gnarly. I wish i could put a picture but my stupid camera stopped working.

My dad said taking him to the vet is a waste and that all we can do is make sure it doesn't get infected. What should i do? I love my boy and he's already gone through enough, but now he's missing half of two of his toes!

I just hope my boy will be okay...

Just try to keep it clean. If you are still worried about it later, vets online don't cost much (maybe like 10 bucks) and can give you an opinion on it and what to do.

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
