I’ve had to pull long hairs out of Mari’s mouth that I shed, and it’s really uncomfortable for her because these hairs are usually in her esophagus wrapped around food by the time I notice them in the morning. I still pull them out because they are probably super uncomfortable and dangerous, but I was wondering if it’s bad for me to be pulling these hairs when I see them dangling out of her mouth. When I pull them, I see one of the spikes on the back of her neck twitch, so I know it’s uncomfortable for her and her body is like “what the heck?” This is the second time in the 6 months I’ve had her that I’ve had to do this uncomfortable hair removal and I am like “how do you get my hairs in your mouth?”

Maybe pull your hair back when feeding and try really hard to not let her get any hair. Do you feed her in the tank ?

Yes, I feed her by hand and from a dish (I feed her Veggies off of human plates because I just pop them in the dishwasher after each use to keep her food surfaces clean.) in her viv, but my hair is blonde so it’s pretty much invisible unless the light hits it just right.

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
