Hello all! My family took possession of Hagrid from a family friend about a month ago and things have gone pretty smooth so far. Hagrid is 2 but was not really handled very often by his previous owner so he's a bit apprehensive about being picked up. Other than just trial and error to get him used to us, do you guys have any suggestions for us getting him to warm up to us? I generally just attempt to get him picked up and if he's not into it I leave him alone for a bit then come back and try again. I really have fallen in love with the little guy already and just want a happy and healthy beardie. Any advice for a newbie would be much appreciated.

Please go over your lighting and basking temps-- NO coils for UVB and basking temps need to be 95-110 taken w/ a digital probe thermometer --- hes going to go thru relocation stress so his eating may be off - also you can get him used to you by putting your hands in the tank as much as possible - hand feed him so he learns to trust you either w/ worms or greens - put a piece of clothing in the tank in his hide w/ your smell on it that way he gets used to your scent - work w/ him every day and be patient -- he will come around -- talk to him - they are a social animal so he will need to learn to trust you --

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
