Unreasonable stress marks on juvenile dragon

I got my bearded dragon about 3 and 1/2 weeks ago and he was doing good up until now. He started his shed about a week ago and is coming to an end now. He still has a couple pieces on him like on his nose and on the base of his tail that won't come off. When he was shedding she had a loss of appetite and wouldn't eat much. I feed him small dubia roaches and his vegetables such as collard greens red bell pepper xcetera. I started giving him bath to help the pieces of shed come on. He never had any stress marks up until yesterday and he has a lot of them even today. if anybody could help me solve this case and that would be appreciated. Also he just started eating again yesterday and ate around 10 roaches which is amazing for him

Ok you can spray him in his tank for the shed take a baby tooth brush and brush gently on the areas of shed - that will help get them off -- the stress marks could be caused from numerous things -- so we would need to narrow it down as the cause -- first lets go over lighting -- what are you using for a UVB brand and bulb coil or tube and where in the tank is it top of screen or inside the tank ? Basking temps? what are they and how are you taking them? NO stick ons

I am using the reptisun uvb 10.0 flourescent lamp and the repti basking light 100 watt. 110 under the basking area and 78 on the cool side. I am using zoo med stick on temp. And the light is on top of the screen.

Is the UVB a coil or a tube? a tube is a long fixture and on it it will say T 5 or T 8 please look and tell me what it is------ stick ons are no good for basking temps- they give ambient temps only--- you need this https://www.petsmart.com/reptile/environmental-control-and-lighting/zoo-med-reptile-terrarium-digital-thermometer-14914.html?cgid=500202
If your using a coil https://www.petsmart.com/reptile/environmental-control-and-lighting/zoo-med-reptisun-10.0-uvb-mini-compact-fluorescent-bulb-16227.html?cgid=500202 these are NO good --

Yes he needs a 24" fixture it looks like this and these people are currently out of stock
https://www.pangeareptile.com/store/zoo-med-reptisun-t5-ho-terrarium-hood.html
and this bulb https://www.pangeareptile.com/store/zoo-med-reptisun-10.0-uvb-t5.html
you can get this fixture https://www.pangeareptile.com/store/t5-uvb-light-fixture.html do not use the bulb in this fixture it is not for reptiles
The Zoo Med hoods usually come w/ a 5.0 bulb it is more for aquarium use you can use it for back up but it would need to go into your tank for proper distance and UVB rays as it is not as strong as the 10.0 bulb I have posted for you
I found one Zoo Med and I went to multiple websites looking for this https://www.reptilesupplyco.com/wholesale-reptile-hoods-domes-fixtures/1884-reptisun-terrarium-hood-t5-24-zoo-med.html I would call them and make sure they have them in stock and get it ordered -- if you dont go w/ the one from Pangea

Your basking light is good -- just make sure your basking temps are 105-110 for a baby and 95-110 for a juvie / and taken w/ a digital probe thermometer-- adults as they get older they dont like real hot temps so its good to offer a gradient heat like a piece of decor that will offer that they can sit stand against or lay on like this
https://www.petsmart.com/reptile/habitats-and-decor/habitat-decor/thrive-driftwood-reptile-decor-54734.html?cgid=500116 this can be layed in the tank different ways my two dragons have one each and they utilize them very well -- get your UVB replaced - let me know how long before it comes you may haft to get him outside for UVB till then but I want to give you some heads up if you need to do this

So I have a light dome that holds both lights. Is there a uvb bulb that I can get instead of getting a whole hood? https://www.chewy.com/exo-terra-desert-uvb-150-reptile-lamp/dp/124015?utm_source=google-product&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=hg&utm_content=Exo%20Terra&utm_term=&gclid=Cj0KCQjw3s_4BRDPARIsAJsyoLPLRXJMGGX1ko8KfPmMPTGsnpdrnXLqUI7kJzRtpJ3a-LGNDD5ACNwaAgLQEALw_wcB such as that

You can go w/ another coil and it would be the Reptisun 26 watt but it would need to be 6-8 inches from basking decor unobstructed--- meaning NO screen in between and that dome needs to be reflective --- I recommend getting rid of the coils all together ---- your dragon will be better off --- the tubes are a way better UVB --- it is up to you --- let me know what you decide - in the mean time get him outside in a plastic tote NO Glass -- place him in direct sunlight/ partial shade for 15 minutes NO longer you dont want to burn him up -- this will give approx 4 hrs of UVB -- do this every day till you get his UVB figured out --- UVB helps them absorb the calcium - they will not eat w/ out it -- I would shut that coil UVB you have off and get rid of it and just use your basking bulb for now - He should start to bask again w/ the coil UVB off

I just ordered a flourescent uvb 150 watt 26w. Suppose to be here on the 21st. You think I should leave the uvb on until then. Or turn it off. He is laying on his basking decor but it is under a piece of it. He is still getting uvb and heat but he isn't directly under the light

Ok so your staying w/ the coil ---- shut the 13 watt off - hes not getting any UVB anyway -- when you get that 26 watt is it the Reptisun? You are gonna need to open that screen up and have it directly over his basking decor approx 6-8 inches from that decor piece ---- it is similar to a T 8 long tube but the rays are shorter when they emit --- you will need to replace that 26 watt in 6 months --- if you decide to go w/ the tube later get a T 5 and it wont need to be changed out for a year --- watch his behavior -- right now hes not getting any UVB from that 13 watt especially if your tank is a 40+ gallon tank --
the coils I have no faith in :(

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
