Rankin’s Dragon or “Normal” Bearded Dragon?

I got my first beardie (Thor) a couple weeks ago from a reptile specialty store in my area (the upper Midwest). I thought that he was a “normal” juvenile bearded dragon when I got him, and he’s grown about 2 inches in the past couple weeks (went from about 6.5 inches to about 8.5 inches). However, now I’m thinking he may be a Rankin’s Dragon based on the pattern on his back and the shape of his head. Help?

If he is a Rankin’s dragon, I want to make sure that I’m taking care of him properly!

Nope, definitely a pogona vitticeps - central bearded dragon.

They can have lots of different patterns and colors.

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
