Hi everyone, new beardie owner here. My beardie is sleeping, but I just noticed that two crickets have come out of hiding (otherwise I would've taken them out). Should I try and take them out and probably disturb my little guy? Or is the risk of them biting him too small to worry about it that much?

Hello,

How large are the crickets?
It is always a good idea to remove all crickets before bedtime, yes. They will bite & can cause
nasty infections, if they damage the scales bad enough. Dragons sleep very soundly so they
wont know the cricket is biting them, either.

My experience is it's not a huge deal if you leave the salad in the tank overnight too.
The crickets will nibble on the vegs and greens and you might just discover your dragon up late at night for a snack when it learns there are crickets at the salad dish overnight.

Ideally no crickets in the tank overnight and only give the dragon a few crickets at a time , let it eat these , then give a few more. NO DUMPING A LOAD of crickets in the tank all at once.

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
