My hides for my bluetongues and water skinks and my bearded dragons have always double as basking platforms, so in the warm zone.
I do provide a cool zone hide as well to each of my skinks but not for the bearded dragons.
Cleo and Caesar (my new 2 month old babies) haven't used their hide yet except as a tunnel, they prefer to sleep together up high in the open.
