Blueberries

Hello

Drake is coming up to two years old, his setup is fine but the last two months he has been a bit lathatgic and gone off food completely - he has recently had a shred and it doesn’t seem to be his usual brumation behaviour either but the only thing he will eat is blueberries!

I’ve tried not giving him them thinking he will eat what else is served there instead but he doesn’t and then i feel bad as he hasn’t eaten.

I’m going to take him to the vet to make sure there’s no parasites affecting his appetite but my question to the forum is how bad is it if a bearded dragon has blueberries daily given that the consensus is it’s a occasional food - ie will this actually have any negative effects bar the calcium/protein that needs to be provided

Thanks in advance

It's probably not good in general that he isn't getting a balanced diet. It's good that you're brining him to the vet for a checkup. Blueberries can give some of them upset stomachs but are generally healthy as far as fruit goes. Is he losing weight or is it remaining stable?

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
