Hello all.

I got my Beardie (Cheech) is at least 6 months old and I was expecting him to be bigger than he is now. He is very alert, eats well, I'm currently feeding him gut loaded locusts dusted in calcium powder, and multi vitamins every 3 days, super worms (not every day and no more than 3 or 4 at a time), and rocket and parsley sprinkled with Exo Terra pellets for juveniles. He drinks well and get bathed once a week. He poops once a day and it looks healthy compared to what I've seen online. His temps during the day are around 100 in his basking spot, around 85 in the cool side. I use an Arcadia D3 UV Basking Lamp 80w, and an Arcadia D3+ 12-Percent Reptiles Lamp, 38 Watt, 42-inch. He is 11 inches in length including his tail.

He has shed 3 times since I got him, he's currently about to shed his legs again. But he just seems quite small for a central bearded dragon, which is what I initially assumed he was, although the pet shop didn't specify this. I'm just wondering if he's a Rankins Dragon? Or is there some other reason he's not growing?

He looks like a standard/central dragon to me. A leatherback. He looks nice and healthy. He probably has several growth spurts left to go.

Thanks for the response. It's reassuring, and cool to know he's a leatherback :)

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
