Silicone for background?

I have a solid black melamine enclosure and I want to add a background to it. I purchased a tank cling I was thinking of attaching to the inside with silicone. Would this work and if so, what is a good silicone to use? Thanks for any tips!

Im not too sure what you mean by tank cling.

Most silicone is non toxic so safe to use, but its not really meant to be used as a glue, especially if this tank cling had any weight to it i wouldnt use silicone to attach it.

Is it just a background? You could use double sided tape if so

Yeah, I said cling because it reminds me of a window cling (like store marketing), but I mean a regular tank background. I can try tape first. Thanks!
