Power outage

The power just went out here and, while our room's small and thankfully stays at a good ambient for Feanor at this time of year anyway Feanor is very clearly distressed and scared by the sudden outage. And we're really not sure what to do?

They haven't even been here a full week and it'd probably have been scary in the first place, and neither do they know us very well yet. Physically temperature is well but is there any way we can help them feel more comfortable until the power comes back?

The room Taco is in is my kids game room. We put him there because that room gets it own generator in case of a outage. We set that room up so if there is a power outage we putt a window a.c. unit in and the gen runs modem, a.c., tv, and now tocos house.
Now you may say u can't afford a gen, well the one I have for that room was bought at a pawn shop for $65. You really can't afford not to have one. Plus if power does go out at least you have one cool room in the house..(Houston Here).

I keep a store of these handwarmers to keep my dragon warm if the power goes out: https://www.amazon.com/HotHands-Hand-Warmers/dp/B06VVLQ8C1

They're great for power outages because they don't require you to microwave anything or heat water, and stay warm for several hours. They do get pretty hot with sustained contact, though, so put them in a thick sock so they don't burn your dragon! You can put socks with these in them all over the floor of the cage for the dragon to sit on if the room ever does get too cool during a power outage.

Thanks all. The power wasn't out for more than two hours (and so we didn't get most of these before it was back, but they're still really useful for future reference), and the temperature was fine but we think it really scared them. Feanor hasn't been here for more than eight days, and while they were doing fine before (eating fine, no stress lines) they've been more skittish, stressed, and had a low appetite since, and I'm not quite sure what to do about it. They are shedding, but they were before too and it's worrying us.

As for heating we had purchased several 40 hour emergency heating packs, but they had not arrived yet. It was a fine temperature for them still, and our room where they are is small and generally the warmest in the house as a result so it didn't get cooler than the usual lower end of their temp gradient the whole time thankfully. As for a generator we.. really can't right now unless we happen upon one in a pawn shop at that kind of price (though we'll check that out once, one of our roommates is willing to take us), and generally thought emergency heating packs were usually used in this kind of situation but if we're wrong would like to know? We don't want to find out too late to prevent harm.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
