I plan on taking Mushu to the place we got him to get nails clipped they say every couple months? Is that right? So when I do that and vet visits what time of carrier should I be putting him in and do I need some type of heating pad or something? Place we got him is about 25 min away. Unless I check to see if the vet I plan on sending him to will do it they are 5 min away.

A short car ride like that shouldn't be a big deal at all. I use a soccer bag with a small fleece blanket at the bottom (a towel would work too). Normal warm car temps are fine. I usually don't bother with a heat pack under the blanket unless I'm on a long road trip and leave the car to stop for food etc. If you don't have a duffel bag, a large shoebox should work too. Anything that is a bit confined/cozy will do.

Heya we use a small animal carrier which we pile with blankets so they can snuggle down, we a only use heat packs if we're going outside the car or on long journeys
