Why are my beardies tail dark at ends?

Usually beardies tail ends will get darker, i once thought the same thing about my adult female but it sheds fine and hasn't withered like most tails do with tail rot.
Sometimes it can be shed and they get darker and then lighter then but other times its just normal.
