Digging/nesting laybox substrate

Hey guys it looks like my Amber is ready or close to being ready to lay another clutch in her laybox. I ordered more sand that'll be here Thursday my only question is that I added moist dirt (reptisoil) and the sand I got in there leaves a cloud. It's sorta like what you would find in the desert and it leaves a stain on your hands and on her (quick bath and she's golden). Unlike play sand it's Australian desert sand from their native habitat I didn't have a problem with it the first time around.

Should I swap it for kids play sand or should I just continue to use what I have and just replace it all on Thursday.

That's strange that you used it before but it didn't stain. It's probably better to switch it but not an emergency.

Which ever sand you decide on, if it's dusty you can moisten it a little to keep the dust down.

What a beauty!!!!!!!!!
I am using the play sand/soil combo. It's not too dusty, even when it dries up (I have a boy and made it because I'm just wasting my life in more ways than one can imagine, lol)- I recommend it.

The soil I used is fresh so it's moist and is why it didn't stain before and thank you she is a handful but it's just her personality
